The Norwegian Wood Series are made by Husemoens Gitarmakeri. The workshop is located by Strandtorget shoppingcenter in Lillehammer, and is one of very few professional workshops for building and repairing guitars in Norway.
It was founded by luthier Øystein Husemoen in 2003 after finishing a 4 year education as a guitarmaker at the Musical Instrument Academy in Sarpsborg, Norway the year before. The education was finished in Germany with a german gessellenbrief in plucked instruments.
In 2009 Fredrik Berg came in as an apprentice. He had been working in the workshop through a work practice program at school and showed great potential for the craft. In addition to beeing a great guitar player he also has the good eye for details and the patience required for building high-end guitars.
Since the beginning all kinds of acoustic and electric guitars has been buildt and sold both in Norway and abroad, and way more than a thousand guitars from all over the country has been repaired here in our shop.
